- Starting hourly rates $17.00-$20.00 (DOE)
Position Summary: The position requires a mature individual whose primary focus is always safety,
while at the same time providing the highest degree of customer service. The Line Service employee must
be able to work without constant supervision and have an assertive, self-starting attitude. The position
affords the employee an opportunity to work around aircraft and learn a great deal about aviation. The
company encourages Line Service employees to become involved in flying and will assist committed
employees in achieving their aviation goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retail sales
- Aircraft cleaning and detailing
- Air ambulance preparation and communication
- Assistance in loading air ambulance patients
- Ground movement of aircraft in/out of hangers and tie-downs
- Cleaning of office, bathrooms, hangar, etc.
- Cleaning of Hertz rental cars
- Inventory control
- Basic computer operation
- Radio/Unicom operations
- Launching and Returning Flights
- Strong positive customer service with the public involving: Telephone calls, Walk-in customers, Hertz rental car customers, Aircraft customer/passengers, Flight
students, Charter customers
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- NATA Certified
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within an environment of changing priorities.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to help customers and handle problems that arise.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely perform work on scaffolding or ladders.
- Must be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces for varying time durations.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull objects weighing ranging from 10- 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance.
- Manual dexterity and physical strength necessary to operate tools, make adjustments and repairs, including use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Exposed to loud noise levels, vibrations, test sounds and identify functioning level of aircraft and may require the use of headphones if needed.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Inspection and repair of aircraft requires good visual acuity and eye-hand coordination.
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
- Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
- Frequent hands to key ability to input data and information.
- Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Work Environment:
Entails exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions, may be exposed to loud aircraft noise, fumes,
gasses, odors, dust particles and mechanical/electrical and chemical hazards.
