Role Purpose
The Senior Photographer at MAG is a key contributor to the visual identity of the airline, responsible for capturing high-quality images that showcase the airline's services, products, destinations, and brand. As the lead photographer, this role requires the ability to work independently while producing compelling photography content for various marketing, communication, and promotional materials.
Key Accountability
- Independently plan and execute professional photoshoots to capture images of aircraft, airport facilities, in-flight experiences, on-ground events and destination locations.
- Ensure high-quality, visually appealing, and technically sound photographs that align with the airline's brand identity.
- Manage and maintain photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in photography.
- Independently edit and retouch photographs to enhance their visual appeal and quality.
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure that edited photos align with project objectives and brand guidelines.
- Organize, catalogue, and manage the airline's photography assets for easy accessibility and retrieval.
- Ensure the secure storage and backup of image files.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and communication teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Provide creative input on the use of photography in marketing campaigns, corporate communications, and other initiatives.
- Assist in developing strategies for the distribution of photography content across various digital platforms, including the company website, social media channels, and promotional materials.
- Assist in the management of the photography budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and cost efficiency.
Qualifications & Working Experience
Bachelor's degree in Photography or a related field with minimum of 7 years of professional photography experience, with a proven track record of producing high-quality imagery.
Areas of Experience
- Proficiency in photography equipment and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and image editing.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage photography projects from start to finish.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of aviation industry trends and familiarity with photography in the travel and tourism sector is a plus.
