About the role
We are currently recruiting for Chef De Partie for one of the most dynamic and exciting leisure venues in Doha. West Bay beach, under the management of Discover Qatar, comprises 3 absolute beachfront fully licensed venues.
- Doha Sands, an exclusive and private beach club for in house guests staying at participating West Bay hotels
- The Bistro; a fully licensed restaurant, opens from 7am until midnight with a capacity of 200, serving light casual meals and also catering for special events, movie and sports event screenings and private groups.
- B12 Beach Club, Qatar’s largest private beach club featuring the largest inflatable in the country, a range of international food and beverage outlets, general admission and VIP sections, a resident DJ and popular weekend brunches.
You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of foods while directing Demi Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking and presenting buffet and food. Look after for ordering of food, inventory and waste control
Other key responsibilities are:
Operational
- Responsible for cooking, preparing, presenting food and buffet.
- Assist and coordinate with menu planning and kitchen operation with the Junior Sous Chef in order to provide an impeccable and prompt service to the Guests.
- Forecast daily food order according to the expected passenger flow and food cycle in order to ensure adequacy in food supplies.
- Check food inventory and wastage control in order to maintain accurate inventory records, projected consumption records and ordering requirements.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene and maintain appropriate documentation with regards to Food safety and Hygiene. Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness are maintained all times.
- Lead and train the First Commie Chef in daily kitchen operations as per the standard operating procedures.
- Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department
Qualifications
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 1 year of job- related experience
- Good English communication skills
- Technical Qualification in food production, a definite knowledge of 05 star food & beverage product
- Basic computer skills
- Proven administration skills
