Alliance Airlines, Australia's leading charter airline, is experiencing significant growth and we are taking expressions of interest for Aircraft Painters to join our AMO team in Brisbane.

About The Role

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, the Aircraft Painter is responsible for safely and efficiently painting aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with the manufacturer’s AMM and CMM requirements. Aircraft Painters prepare, prime and paint aircraft exteriors, interior panels and off wing components, including but not limited to, aircraft panels, wheels, brakes and general servicing equipment. They are required to mix, blend and match paints.

This position will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Prepare the aircraft/components for the paint process, including washing, sanding, wet or dry media stripping, and masking.
  • Mix and Prime the aircraft/components as per manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Mix and Paint aircraft/components per manufacturer’s instructions, as well as Alliance Airlines Part 145 Maintenance Exposition procedures. These instructions may include Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Component Maintenance Manuals, Standard Procedures Manuals and Engineering Orders.
  • Perform quality inspections after paint completion.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Base Engineers and Shift Supervisors to plan and schedule upcoming painting tasks.
  • Completing all assigned paint booth scheduled visual inspections and filter changes.
  • This role will requires flexibility in rostered hours to meet the aircraft availability.

You Will Also Possess

  • Successful completion of secondary education and/or equivalent
  • Drivers Licence – Minimum ‘C’ Class
  • A minimum of 5 years painting experience is required, with Aircraft industry experience is highly desirable
  • Effective problem solving
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • High developed interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy to a minimum medium level
  • Ability to relate to all levels, both inside and outside the organisation
  • Organisational ability
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Able to work autonomously or as a leader/member of a team
