Position Summary
Reporting to the Product Manager, Service Strategy, the Specialist, Catering Planning and Loading is responsible for data management, document manipulation, and the distribution of loading diagrams for the catering department. This position is also responsible for calculating equipment usage to support forecasting needs, monitoring catering weight & balance changes, & managing all aspects of the catering web portal, including facilitating communication of information via the portal and managing web portal access for internal/external partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, & develop all loading diagrams and carrier tags to support provisioning of supplies on Hawaiian Airlines aircraft.
- Post content on HA Catering data management system (Sharepoint website).
- Communicate galley packing information to all internal and external customers.
- Prepare & maintain usage quantities of catering supplies to support Procurement’s reordering process.
- Audit vendor kitchen performance for diagram packing compliance.
- Coordinate all quality issues and trends relative to galley planning; communicate challenges and needs to the Product Manager, Service Strategy.
- Review new opportunities for process improvement in this area that will enhance productivity and efficiency of galley planning as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Professional experience in document manipulation or data management.
- AOA badge qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, specifically high level Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hawaiian Airlines is regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT - regulation, 49 CFR part 40) and all applicants are advised that post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing will be conducted to determine the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opioids, PCP (Phencyclidine), and Amphetamine prior to any offer of employment or transfer into a safety-sensitive position. - Experience in Airline and/or catering industry.
- Experience with project planning and/or coordination.
- Experience with creating visual diagrams in excel.
