CARGO HANDLING MANAGER

We are now looking for a new Handling Manager, 

responsible for Cargo and Mail Handling with focus on country- and customs requirements towards the Airline. 

The department is placed under Operations, and you will report to Head of Handling, Quality, Safety and Security (HQSS). 

Some business travelling will be a part of the job. 
 

Main Tasks 

•    Responsible for managing and developing SAS Cargo Group A/S’ Handling, Quality (QMS), Safety and Security (SMS) system within appointed areas.
•    Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and requirements. 
•    Responsible for ensuring Airline reporting to authority and customs as required.
•    Assist in ensuring appropriate Service Level Agreements and contracts with Ground Handling Agents worldwide. 
•    Follow-up on suppliers’ performance and ensuring continuous improvements. 

We are looking for a person with

•    In-depth understanding of customs regulations and requirements, including ICS2.
•    Knowledge of cargo handling processes, standards, requirements, and procedures.
•    Good communication skills in English and minimum one Scandinavian language.
•    Ability to work individually and in a team.
•    High solution-oriented skills.
•    An open mind.
•    Curiosity and a willingness to learn and grow in the position.
•    A “safety always come first” attitude.
