Key Responsibilities

Job overview and responsibilities

This Principal - Planning and Integration is responsible for implementing the work of the Planning and Integration Team, a team within MileagePlus with responsibility for handling prioritization of the 24-month tactical road map. In addition, the position is responsible for the implementation of large, diverse and complex projects related to program and product development spanning functional groups across MileagePlus.

  • For selected projects from the Loyalty Tactical Road Map, apply expertise and leadership skills to define project scope and objectives, develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports for project management of selected road map projects across the MileagePlus team, delivering operational efficiency and effectiveness and ensuring optimal utilization of team resources
  • Provide project leadership to allow each functional team to focus on optimizing business outcomes and results rather than project management
  • Manage 24-month tactical Loyalty road map project selection and prioritization processes. Support integration of Loyalty projects on other functional group road maps (technology, digital, operations)
  • Provide the primary point of integration for internal and external partners and stakeholders in the execution of MileagePlus projects
  • Manage engagement of the MileagePlus team in enterprise projects
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards, project deliverables, and resolves issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met on time and within budget

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related major
  • 4 years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational skills, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Ability to understand and manage complex projects with drive toward defined goals
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • PMI Certification
  • 6 years of related experience in marketing or related functions with PMO Leadership Experience
  • Strong knowledge of airline products & services
