Job Description
We have an opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager AP / Provider Relationship (IFSC) in Bangalore, India.
You lead a team of 10+ employees to deliver Accounts Payable (AP) services according to process specifications and standard operating procedures (SOP) in compliance with defined controls. This includes the coordination of all processes / activities related to period closings and the timely and complete delivery of reports and insights to Central Finance / Business.
In this role you report directly to the Head of Finance Operations India (IFSC) and you closely co-operate with the Process Owner for Accounts Payable in a matrix structure to identify efficiency opportunities and support the implementation of agreed improvements.
You are also responsible for the management of relations with the GBS Finance Outsourcing Partner in India and for the execution and further development of an effective Governance framework.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for executing controls as defined (and in compliance with Group Internal Control framework requirements) ensuring their results are documented, their effectiveness is monitored, and related insights are regularly shared with the POs.
Responsible for the fulfilment of agreed SLAs and KPIs and for the achievement of agreed User/Customer Satisfaction levels.
Responsible to run and steer the AP service delivery according to lean principles and the GBS standard operating model.
Responsible for minimizing all operational risks including single points of failure and business continuity risks.
Responsible for providing the necessary workforce capacity with the right skill set and capabilities.
Responsible for monitoring volumes / workload drivers and for the planning and steering of workforce capacity according to demand.
Responsible for implementing process changes and creating and maintaining SOPs in close alignment with the GPO.
Responsible for effective and efficient service interactions with suppliers, users, and other stakeholders. This includes the handling of incidents, issues, and escalations according to the GBS standard processes.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining a service culture (mindset) in which service employees strive for solutions, take responsibility, act empathetically and strive to make services easy to use.
Responsible for creating and maintaining high employee engagement while leading the team through changes.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining the relationship with the OSP partner, establishing an effective governance, ensuring a seamless service experience for GBS service users, managing OSP performance and driving improvements, sharing best practices / insights, and mitigating any risks to the financial services area.
Skills & Experience:
Qualified Accountant, with post-qualification experience
Experience of leading teams, delivering Group-wide services within the GBS model
Able to effectively influence, communicate and work collaboratively with senior finance stakeholders
An experienced people leader, able to engage teams and allocate resources to align with their area’s objectives
Able to identify and solve complex operational problems and leverage the appropriate resources within their discipline
