Fleet Optimisation Officer

The Fleet Optimisation team sits within the Fleet Operations team and part of the wider Operational Planning team, responsible for converting the current season schedule into an operable flying programme.
The Operational Planning teams collaborate to create a safe, cost-efficient, and resilient schedule that meets all operational teams' needs, ensuring both long-term and short-term feasibility. They also review post-operation window feeding back as learnings into future operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in supporting operational fleet issues and ensuring the delivery of operations to the highest standards of resilience, particularly concerning standby aircraft and the feasibility of the flying programme. This role plays a crucial part in optimising requirements across various stakeholders including Commercial (both Revenue and Network aspects), Customer (in terms of Service and Relationship), Sales (Corporate and Holiday), Public Relations, Investor Relations, Legal & Procurement, and all operational teams to maintain a robust flying programme. Key responsibilities include maintaining the Fleet Allocation Plan for the current season, overseeing standby aircraft levels, optimising flying schedules for enhanced resilience, strategy of aircraft allocation for maintenance, coordinating commercial requirements for revenue maximisation, planning crew training activities, managing event information such as holidays and runway closures, and supporting seasonal and aircraft-related route permit applications.
What You’ll Need To Do The Role
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of one year's experience in Airline Operations or Ground Handling, demonstrating strong commercial awareness and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate should excel in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact and influence stakeholders at all levels, and exhibit a keen attention to detail. Robust problem-solving abilities, a proactive mindset towards process improvement, resilience under pressure, and a track record of driving operational efficiency are essential.
