About

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM :

As a People Country Manager for South Europe, you will be responsible for the strategic alignment and smooth operation of People initiatives within your region. This role acts as an advisor, managing individuals or teams on human resources issues both current and near term. The People Country Manager provides expertise, understanding the issues, giving analysis and recommendations, evaluating the solutions and consequences. This role works closely to adhere to local and corporate legal policies along with working to implement corporate or departmental initiatives.

w Hat You Will Do

  • HR Plan Development & Delivery: as a thought leader, you will contribute to the development of the annual HR Plan and implement the plan for the assigned region including talent planning and talent management.
  • Annual Processes & Programs: Responsible for the delivery of all HR programs and processes for an assigned region, facilitating workshops/learning events that support the employee lifecycle, e.g., Performance Management, Mid-Year Reviews, etc. You will tailor global initiatives to fit local contexts and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Organizational & Leadership Effectiveness: you will contribute to the design and implementation of organizational effectiveness assessments with peer disciplines resulting in improved employee engagement.
  • Change Plan Design & Implementation: Informs and implements change and readiness plans including communication plans that enable the successful launch of business-specific programs or processes.
  • Employee Relations: you will manage employee relations, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive work environment. This involves mediating conflicts, ensuring fair treatment, and supporting employee well-being, including the employment termination process. Is accomplished in handling employee relations and is responsible for the management of employee relations concerns while adhering to corporate HR and legal policies.
  • Compliance and Risk Mitigation: you will ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, thereby mitigating risks associated with non-compliance. Stay up to date with changes in legislation and implement necessary adjustments to People practices and policies.
  • Communication: you will facilitate communication between the central People organization and the local workforce, ensuring that all employees are informed about matters affecting their work or the organization.
  • Localization of Initiatives: you will adapt and localize People initiatives to ensure cultural and contextual appropriateness, adjusting communication styles, benefits programs, and engagement strategies to better align with local norms and expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and People Business Partners to align local People strategies with the organization's overall goals.


Qualifications

EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational psychology, or equivalent.
  • +6 years in an HR Generalist role, working in a complex international/multi-cultural and fast-moving environment.
  • Fluent in English
  • At least 5 years’ experience of interaction with senior management.
  • A hands-on approach paired with up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including those related to payroll, social security, and employee rights, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
