Qatar Airways (QR) is now recruiting for the role of Sales Manager Europe where you will be responsible for exceeding commercial targets from a portfolio of existing accounts and new business. You will develop and rationalise the allocation of resources, skills and activities in the European region to drive profitable revenue and reduce cost of sale from priority sales channels.

Based in Central London, there will be regular travel as part of this role.

Specific responsibilities include

  • Define the Online Travel Agency (OTA) channel strategy and distribution strategies.
  • Align with the online strategy defined and formulated by Global sales and Digital direct
  • Contribute to defining the online strategy of the company based on the commercial and distribution strategy and priorities of the European Region.
  • Define the Incentive strategy for the local OTAs in Europe and negotiate the Incentive deals for the Regional OTAs and Tour Operators (TO).
  • Define and execute the distribution strategy for European OTA channel – with reference to distribution and access to special fares, private promotions and any other tactical actions where required
  • Support in the implementation of the TO special products across the European region.
  • Establish and maintain relationships at all levels and all relevant stake holders in the partners’ organisations.
  • Account-manage all regional accounts.
  • Organise the communication and involvement of any relevant local teams to ensure optimal account management process and maximizing the commercial opportunities.
  • Lead the communication and interaction with all relevant internal departments and stake holders to ensure speed to market and best in class customer service.
  • Establish structural performance management process with regional accounts.
  • Establish all relevant data reporting and all relevant accounts, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly and distribute to all relevant parties.
  • Together with Regional Trade Marketing team negotiate and implement all Joint Marketing Funds.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Ideally a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with extensive experience within Commercial sales.
  • Deep understanding of the airline partnership business and airline profitability metrics.
  • Deep knowledge of airline industry revenue planning processes, including capacity/network planning and revenue forecasting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Proven influencing and negotiating skills at all levels.
