We have an opportunity for an Accounting Rep at our Auburn, CA/Vian Enterprises site. This is a contract to hire position. Job Summary: The Accounting Rep calculates, posts, verifies, and reconciles financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Essential Functions: Perform ma intenance of the general ledger P repare various accounting statements Pre pare various financial reports Prepare bi-weekly payroll Responsible for accounts payable or receivable functions Reconcile accounts payable subledger and resolve any discrepancies Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to per form the functions of the job Work under general supervision Must comply with company policies and procedures, as well as federal & state regulations Any other task assigned by supervisor or management Minimum Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years of experience in Accou nting or related area required Knowledge : Understanding of bookkeeping procedures required; Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field of accounting Skill s/Abilities : Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals; Ability to express self orally and in writing to prepare comprehensive analyses, recommendations and reports ; Good PC skills, including solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required ; A wide degree of crea tivity and latitude is expected Education/Certification : Two-year degree in Accounting or related field required . Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
