Crane Aerospace & Electronics has an opportunity for a Field Services Engineering Technician based out of our Burbank, CA location. In this role you will maximize product performance by supporting and resolving product issues quickly, efficiently and to customer satisfaction; provide technical support and training for the end user at customer sites; support accident investigations as necessary; participate in engineering design review and testing of products; and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Troubleshoot Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer technical inquiries Develop training materials for end user customer and provide onsite and off-site training for customers Perform failure analysis and write reports Conduct new product Entry into Service (EIS) programs Conduct in-service evaluations and integration testing; direct various on-wing tests, monitor and investigate complex technical in-service issues, and provide design engineers with product feedback Maintain knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFAR’s (Federal Aviation Regulations) Participate in various industry symposiums, conferences and meetings; build and maintain various Product Support databases Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology or related technical field and Four (4) or more years’ relevant technician or military experience; or Bachelor of Science Degree Working knowledge of the airline industry, airline products, airline support requirements, and regulatory requirements; Working knowledge of aircraft systems and shop level maintenance; Working knowledge of MS Projects; working knowledge of Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time as required Preferred Qualifications: FAA Certified Repairman (Airframe & Power plant license) Foreign language knowledge Experience working in other cultures and customs Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Visio, and Project Knowledge of standard test equipment Employment Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered.
