JOB SUMMARY

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for acting as a liaison between IT and business users on various business systems projects by defining and documenting system requirements, scope and objectives, and creating system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead client meetings to gather business requirements, documents, and analyzes customer requirements.
  • Elicits business requirements through detailed review and analysis of existing systems and processes. Translating these into effective workflows focusing on process automation.
  • Serve as lead on new implementation and upgrades to assigned applications.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and solve technical challenges problems involving integrated systems.
  • Tests and verifies software releases, upgrades, and any changes prior to the promotion of code to the production environment.
  • Generated and update appropriate documentation as per policy and procedures. Including requirements, specification, change control, end user documentation.
  • Provide education and training for application end user community - keeping them informed of new release feature/functionality, changes/revisions that impact the operation.
  • Strategic thinking related to the business process to identify issues or opportunities for improvements.
  • Serve as the primary person to liaison between IT and the department subject matter experts and functional leads during and after the implementation phase of business systems projects.

This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution and two years direct experience related to the essential functions of this job OR 6 years direct experience related to the essential functions of this job.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and TSQL. 
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and managing time across multiple tasks.
  • Experience in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service.
  • Experience in business process development is required.
  • Strong understanding of software implementation life cycle, project management, business process management, requirements definition, functional design, quality management, and change management.
  • Strong Financial module experience is a plus.
  • Manufacturing and Aerospace experience is highly desired.

  • Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.

This compensation range is specific to Washington State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At Astronics AES, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,740 - 100,109.
