Aviation Recruitment Network Limited is a supplier of airport recruitment solutions to companies operating in and out of UK airports.

We have an immediate requirement for experienced Customer Service Agents to work at Birmingham Airport (B26) as a Baggage Tracing Agent for a major ground handling company.

It is essential for applicants to have experience of working at Birmingham Airport in a similar customer facing role.

The role of the Baggage Tracing Agent is to assist passengers with baggage reclaim support, delayed bags, lost bags or damaged baggage by processing their reports using World Tracer system (training provided).
The pay rate is £11.50 p/h rising to £12.25 p/h after probation.

Applicants must be able to work full time shifts between 0630 hrs and 2330 hrs including weekends and Bank Holidays covering 4 days on and 2 days off roster.

Baggage Tracing Agents perform a variety of duties which will include:
• Assisting with lost or delayed baggage enquiries in person or via telephone.
• Complete reports and update airline reservation files.
• Rerouting baggage as per airline requirements
• Dealing with passengers in a polite and empathetic manner.
• Arranging couriers to deliver customer baggage.
• Assist with the manual loading of baggage from the arrival hall.

Baggage Tracing Agents will receive:
• 40 hrs per week plus overtime.
• Training and development.
• Uniform.
• Staff Parking.
• Weekly or monthly pay.

To be considered for this Baggage Tracing Agent role, applicants must:
• Have experience working in a customer facing environment in an airport environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Be flexible and able to work all shift patterns including weekends.
• A good level of fitness to manually lift high volumes of customer baggage.

Successful Baggage Tracing Agents will be subject to the following security checks:
• 5-year checkable history.
• Criminal records check application (reimbursed after 4 weeks of assignment).
