The
Advanced R&D Engineer Scientist will be responsible for performing both experimental and simulation tasks in the laboratory, and to apply them in the development of new refrigerants for AC and Refrigeration applications. This engineer will support development of internal modeling and simulation tools to support the growth of the Refrigerants business. The engineer needs to effectively communicate technical information to industry and customers to assist their transition to new environmentally safer refrigerant substitutes. On-Site.

Key Responsibilities
• Good understanding of thermodynamic cycles, refrigeration, and heat transfer
• Experience in the area of modeling/simulation of vapor compression systems and solid knowledge of the latest computational technologies.
• Strong understanding of numerical techniques. Desirable to understand analytics such as optimization technique, such as Genetic Algorithm.
• Hand-on demonstrable experience one computer programming language (FORTRAN most preferred). Experience in using MATLAB and VBA is plus.
• Experience in working as a team with experimentalists to get the necessary data and validation of modelling results with laboratory data.
• Experience in working on global project teams is preferred.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex and complicated problems
• Proficiently and efficiently operate in a matrix organization
• Responsible for handling all related job responsibilities in accordance to HSE policy. • Participates in the invention/discovery process with professionals
YOU MUST HAVE
• Masters or PhD
in thermal/mechanical/chemical engineering with emphasis on
thermodynamics, heat transfer and mathematical modelling of thermo-fluid systems.
• 1-2 years of post-Ph.D.
experience in related field, post-doctoral included or 4+ years of post-MS
experience
