GOOSE recruitments are delighted to be recruiting for an Aviation Surveyor & Adjuster for our extremely reputable client based in the US.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Travel to and attend incident or accident sites, to investigate the cause of loss and to survey and assess damage, potential repair costs, and/or salvage value.
 
  • Travel to and attend inspections at engine repair facilities, liaising with facilities to confirm cause and level of damage, repair work scope and costs.
 
  • Review, evaluate and assess all elements of the claim that may impact Insurers’ potential exposure under the policy of insurance.
 
  • Evaluate, negotiate, monitor, supervise and agree recovery options, repair work scopes, supplementary costs and wreckage disposal or salvage sale (in conjunction with company salvage experts) and potential for recovery through subrogation action.
 
  • Provide detailed and timely reports.
 
  • Communicate in a timely and effective manner with Underwriters, Brokers, Insured’s, attorneys, local agents, manufacturers, repair facilities, regulatory authorities and all other relevant parties.

  • Monitor Work in Progress and expenses to ensure fee reserves are adequate and advise Insurers of increased requirements
 
  • Accurately document time and expenses with a view to achieving productivity goals and to ensure proper billing.

 
 
Candidate Profile
 
The role of the Hull Surveyor & Adjuster involves considerable client interactions and demands first class communication, analytical skills combine with confident personality.
 
The ideal candidate will have direct experience with heavy maintenance, preferably on wide-body aircraft. 
 
Requirements
 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
 
  • Current FAA A&P license (or equivalent aircraft maintenance engineer’s license)
 
  • 10+ year of Engineering or Maintenance experience with an original equipment manufacturer, Commercial Airlines, Cargo Carrier or Maintenance Repair operation
 
  • Deep executive presence, capable of forging relationships and developing influence at all levels.
