Job Description Summary
As Electrical Design Engineer / Elektrokonstrukteur (m/w/d) you will be responsible for the design, integration, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and modules for industrial Additive Manufacturing machines. You will be contributing to global engineering projects for the development of new products as well as supporting existing products in sustaining engineering efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Participate on integrated, multi-disciplinary and global design teams and interface with the product owners and team leads to understand system requirements
- Translate engineering requirements into hardware specifications, electrical schematics, and release for manufacture using EPLAN Electric P8
- Execute and document the electrical design consistent with relevant industrial standards and GE Additive engineering policies and procedures
- Specify components for safety functions and conduct Sistema Performance Level validation
- Interface with and manage suppliers and sub-contractors to manufacture designed products, and to certify electrical components
- Interface with and provide support to Sourcing, Production, Quality and Service Teams
- Support the optimization and standardization of the electrical engineering tools and processes across the global engineering team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education
- At least 3 years of professional experience in electrical design engineering
- On-hands experience with EPLAN Electric P8 or comparable electrical design tool
- Experience with high and low voltage electrical systems and the design of industrial control panels
- Familiarity with relevant industrial standards and regulatory requirements (IEC 60204-1, EN ISO 13849-1/2, UL2011, NFPA 79, UL508A)
- Knowledge of functional safety basics
- Proficient in German and English language, both oral and in writing
