Eaton is currently seeking a Visual Inspector to join our team. This position is based at our Kearney NE location.
This is a direct, full-time position that offers full benefits the day you start. In addition to Eaton’s competitive benefits, Eaton offers a salary of $21.80/hour plus a shift differential for 2nd shift.
Position Overview:
This position performs 100% visual inspection of finished valves, pack product following inspection and performs nondestructive testing, such as Pentrex. Essential functions include:
- Gages parts to meet customer specifications
- Consults with auditors and quality personnel to identify quality problems
- Completes inspection reports and all x-ray paperwork/ documentation and charts results
- Visual inspects parts for quality defects and removes defective parts from the process
- May stop and correct the process to meet product quality requirements
- Sorts parts for potential quality defects
- Assemble, label and pack valves according to customer specifications
- Maintains work area, equipment, and chemical levels (Pentrex) in accordance with 5S principals
- Performs nondestructive testing, such as Pentrex/ magnetic particle or x-ray, and visually inspects for defects
This position also supports continuous improvement, safety, quality, lean, and 5S initiatives. Adhere to regulatory and facility safety guidelines while on-site. Sometimes asked to lift items that may weight up to 50 pounds

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 Year working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or related environment

- Soft Skills: Must be able to maintain a high level of focus for hours at a time and ability to communicate issues to relevant parties within the organization.
