You will work under minimal supervision of the Platform/CBT/SBU leader, execute development programs of significant size & complexity to achieve scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality requirements while demonstrating mastery of program management skills and thorough understanding of multiple workstreams (of functions and Centers of Excellence). You will manage and lead complex, global development programs that may span several major domestic and worldwide locations, requiring coordination of technology development and production across locations. You will define, generate & implement program plans.
Job Description:
The SR Project Manager will be a key member of the EOPS Engineering Strategy & Integration leadership team responsible to support the engineering strategy and driving the execution of footprint and transitions strategies for Aerospace engineering. Additionally, HE/SHE will be responsible for leading efforts within the Engineering Leadership Team, all E&T COE Tier 2/3 organizations, ISC GS&I, and Global Real Estate to evaluate the feasibility of and build estimates for E&T effort associated with GS&I-led repositioning projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead E&T teams responsible for evaluation of feasibility and estimation of site transition activities affecting Aerospace Engineering footprint and GS&I-led repositioning projects.Lead team in execution of transition projects through all STP phases
- Lead the efforts associated with Engineering repositioning knowledge capture and management to ensure a disciplined and data-driven approach is utilized for assumptions and basis of estimate on all transition activities.Lead the creation of a project knowledge base in alignment with the Engineering Standard Transition Process.
- As part of the Leadership team of ES&I, lead the execution of the Management Operating System to drive effective communication, interfacing, and execution of tasks & responsibilities between EOPS, GS&I, ISC, and SBU Engineering COEs.
- Partner with Engineering and ISC leaders in developing a leaner and faster transition process driving core strategic initiatives in support of creating a better approach to manage transitions and growth projects.
- Drive establishment, development and continuous improvement of the E&T Standard Transition Process to effectively established truly relevant objectives and performance standards.
- Lead and work with the engineering organization to drive establishment of a more robust process to streamline the development of all substantiation plans for sourcing transitions, establishing clear goals to achieve significant productivity improvements.
·Travel required (approximately 10%), including international.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Business or relevant discipline.
- 5 years Program Management experience in engineering/business.
- Advanced communications, presentation, communication skills and leadership.
