The Endpoint Security OT/IoT Engineer/Architect has the following responsibilities:
- Oversight of all activities encompassing endpoint security within the Operational Technology and IoT space to ensure a consistent state is maintained across the enterprise.
- Provision of expert advice and support to ensure endpoint security is aligned with the objectives of the business and associated policies.
- Work closely with IT Infrastructure and Operations representatives, to provide oversight, coordination of Endpoint activities, providing preventative and proactive support in conjunction with Engineering and Operational teams.
- Endpoint security change management, managing and enhancing the effectiveness of current security applications including anti-virus, anti-spyware, application whitelisting, host firewall, and encryption within the OT & IoT Environment.
- Endpoint reporting and lifecycle management. Providing reports to management regarding the effectiveness of endpoint posture and security controls and making recommendations for the adoption of new policies, procedures and technologies as required.
- Endpoint version management and compliance across OT/IoT endpoints.
- Review of core OT/IoT capabilities supporting the endpoint environment.
- Managing the implementation of relevant corporate security policies, programs, and procedures to protect Operational Technology and IoT from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
- Improving overall defences by continuously identifying new technology trends intended at detecting and eliminating internal and external network vulnerabilities.
- Engage in Incident Response activities as needed.
- Create and maintain technical and operational documentation of endpoint security systems related to OT & IoT.
- Day-to-day support activities of the Information Security team.
- This position will help grow the footprint of Information Security and support business expansion.
Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate for this job will have courses and/or relevant work experience in some or all of the following skills:- McAfee ePO support and engineering along with components of ENS, AppControl/Solidcore, Host Firewall, and Encryption.
- Microsoft SCCM/InTune software and patch deployment
- Network troubleshooting
- System administration, Windows & Linux predominantly
- Information security principles/domains such as application security, data loss prevention, penetration testing, perimeter security, network security, endpoint security, identity and access management and web security.
- Supporting IT design/architecture via security reviews or assessments of projects and/or solutions from an endpoint security perspective.
- Customer facing support in form of requirements capture, HLD/LLD, basic through to advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and associated documentation of common issues in the form of Job Aid or SOPs.
- Experience or certification in technology from McAfee (IPS, AV, ePO, WebGateway, etc.)
- Experience or certification in operating system platforms such as Windows and Linux/Unix.
- Experience or cerfiication in IPC/ICS/PLC/SCADA
