Key Job Accountabilities:
- Perform month-end closing, and prepare monthly schedules and reports, with timely submission
- Ensure that transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal Group/Company policies.
- Preparation of monthly management reports for Business Heads and GM.
- Coordination, preparation and submission of periodic forecasts, annual budget and 5-year plan.
- Perform financial analysis on past and forecast data to understand root cause of major fluctuations and provide relevant variance explanations.
- Planning, Studying, and Collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labour, and overhead. Working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards.
- Cash flow monitoring and forecast preparation.
- Preparation of entity’s financial statements, annual tax comp and schedules.
- Liaise with external/internal auditors and tax agents.
- Preparation of government grant claims.
- Ensure internal compliance procedures and processes are adhered to
The suitable candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications.
- Chartered Accountant/CPA will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of Financial Accounting and Business Controlling experience.
- Prior experience working with long-term contract accounting including percentage of completion contract accounting is preferred.
- Experience with SAP and Hyperion is a must.
- Sound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements.
- Good interpersonal skills – able to engage with co-workers from various departments/levels.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Able to work independently and under tight timelines.
- Strong in Excel.
