The Senior Financial Analyst supports the $1.0B Commercial Fire Americas P&L and will function as a key partner to members of the Fire Americas Finance team. You will be a key participant in managing standard monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes. You will assess financial performance and implement finance strategies to achieve committed business goals. You will support HBT Fire Americas business leaders driving key finance initiatives and decisions. You will meet and interact with various levels of the organization, including commercial teams, operations teams, offering management teams and the Fire & Security CFO.
This position will report directly to the CFO for Fire Americas and will be based out of the Miami, FL office – with frequent exposure to the F&S leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations and business finance teams to drive financial performance for both P&L and Working Capital; identify risks and opportunities to our financial outlook
- Drive the detailed development of the AOP and formal financial forecast, including weekly Pulse updated and presentation at weekly meeting
- Lead the Short-Range Outlook (SRO) process including forecasting, reporting, variance analysis, and leadership reviews
- Develop new and enhance existing data analytics/models to understand, predict, and enhance manufacturing performance
- Prepare and provide information for presentations for the Operations leadership, including cost, Productivity and Manufacturing Variance (MBR deck)
- Partner with manufacturing team to forecast and analyze cost of sales expense including items such as Warranty, Scrap, Inventory Adjustments and PPV
- Fixed Assets coordination from project setup to capitalization, including transfers and/or retirements
- Manage and deliver on operational and analytical processes connected to each accounting period close, including journal entries, variance analysis and management reporting
- Interface with Controllership to ensure proper controls and compliance with GAAP
- Complete special projects to implement process changes for improved business profitability and efficiency
- Ad-hoc analysis as requested to support the business
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of finance/business experience
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in manufacturing

- Prior experience with BI/data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau) is a plus - you will be required to eventually learn and apply these skills on the job
