Our product line includes custom, semi-custom and off-the-shelf power converters and custom miniature (hybrid) electronics circuits for applications across various markets including medical, space, and aerospace. We have been designing and building DC/DC converters, EMI filters, and special products since 1969. Position Overview The Manager, Engineering Apps & Services (EAS) is responsible for leading a team of Systems Analysts in creating and implementing the roadmap for Engineering Applications, Processes, and Workflows which support best-in-class deployment of New Product Introduction, Requirements Capture, Configuration Management, and Product Lifecycle Management for Crane Aerospace & Electronics. Responsible for a multimillion-dollar budget, this leadership position will drive productivity through commonality of applications and processes, and through negotiation of best value pricing with our suppliers. Talent development is critical part of this role and will include developing and maintaining technical knowledge, skills, and standard processes to support the Engineering Applications, Processes and Workflows that implement industry compliant and Crane Standard Processes. Accountable for acquisition, maintenance and license management of more than 100 Engineering applications and software, and provide timely support to all sites across Crane A&E. This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Duties and Responsibilities Leadership/Management Responsibilities Accountable for EAS budget, renewals, license management, vendor negotiations for short or long-term annual renewals and subscriptions Talent development, performance management, succession planning Support Offshore Development Center (ODC) consultants, developers, budget, tasks, projects etc. and performance metrics Collaborate with functional groups and IT to plan for upgrade projects and execute to committed plan and budget Any other task assigned by your supervisor or management Engineering Responsibilities Manage the EA&S Ticketing System/Hotline/Database to support Engineering customers for technical support, installation/configuration, maintenance, application evaluation and acquisition. Manage teams across multiple locations with the goal to maintaining Production up-time at all Solutions across multiple time-zones in U.S. and overseas Accountable for Solutions Architecture, infrastructure planning, workflow development/validation, process development, and production support for all Engineering Applications Responsible for internal or external software vendor usage compliance, DFARS or CMMC audits Manage the Systems Analysts, Data Model Architects and Developers of Engineering Applications, and provide expert technical guidance Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering or related field. Three (3)+ years of experience in a management role leading a team of direct reports. Three (3)+ years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management Seven (7)+ years of relevant experience in products/automated equipment design and development. (Aerospace environment is a plus). Proven design project leadership ability, including the demonstrated ability to form and lead cross-functional teams. Working knowledge of practical managerial techniques, leadership and financial management as well as all factors affecting business results.
