Job Description:

The Plant Maintenance Specialistsupports the Tech Ops Team throughoperational planning of the Plant Maintenance Operation. This includes working directly with vendors, processing invoices, and assisting the Plant Manager with various project management tasks.This role will also be responsible for drafting policies and procedures for the Plant Maintenance Operation.The Plant Maintenance Specialistis a strong communicator who has ananalytical mindset andenjoys working on complex projects.

Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, and annual statistical, as well as ad hoc reports, used for trend analysis to meet corporate and organizational needs and requirements
Daily processing of reports in the applicable internal databases
Validate past performance against projections to ensure accuracy of forecast models
Process all facility invoicing; ensure prompt payment and accuracy on all accounts and maintain impeccable invoicing records
Assist Leadership with data gathering, analysis, and reporting as related to Departmental metrics
Provide Training in a variety of formats on the use of needed technical tools
Coordinate downline activities for Plant MX Employees, Vendors of/for Plant MX and efficiently book flights for them.
Organize and proofread all written communications for accuracy
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Assist in writing and publishing new processes and procedures for the Tech Ops Plant MX organization
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of coordinating and processing payment for invoicing over several accounts or locations
Knowledge of the operational needs of the Tech Ops division of Southwest Airlines
Skilled in reading and comprehending technical reports, instructions, and drawings
Skilled in selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.)
Skilled in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
Ability to oversee projects and manage multiple projects at once
Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
Ability to proactively identify business improvements by building processes and procedures and aid Leadership in establishing standards and best practices.
Ability to identify root causes to resolve complex issues and problems
Ability to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence to understand better the unique communication needs of Employees, Vendors and internal customers.
Ability to diffuse conflict and foster productive conversation
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Entry-level experience, developing skills and knowledge in:
Plant MX or Facilities operations
Working with outside General Contractors and workgroups
Working in a role of supporting or leading a high-functioning workgroup
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Ability to travel to other defined cities under the Plant MX responsibility
Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
