Crane Aerospace & Electronics has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Director of Program Management in Lynnwood, WA . The Director of Program Management is responsible for planning, managing and executing product development projects in accordance with established practices and policies. This may include the coordination of activities at multiple locations and involve multiple parties while providing leadership to the project teams. Additionally, this role has a joint responsibility with the Director of Engineering to provide technical and process oversight to ensure that business requirements are met, project plans are monitored, budgets are managed, and resource allocations are appropriate. This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Responsibilities: Direct the management and implementation of multiple programs: develop project plans and timelines; make staffing decisions based on assessment of team members' skills and workloads; and identify obstacles Manage a large group of professionals indirectly, and/or or matrix managed through other groups and/or business units Provide training and development opportunities and serve in mentoring role for team Defining the project scope, goals and deliverables to support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders Supervise the development of full-scale project plans and associated communication documents. Developing and implementing methods for tracking projects' key parameters; taking appropriate actions should KPIs indicate poor or inadequate performance Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis Creating, executing and updating project work plans as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements Identifying and recommending the internal and/or external resources required for the timely completion of projects Managing day-to-day operational aspects of projects Proactively managing changes in project scope, anticipating potential problems, and proactively devising contingency plans Holding regular program review meetings and ensuring effective project communications within the organization Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion Building, developing, and grow business relationships Developing best practices and tools for project management and execution in a fast paced product development environment Minimum Requirements 10+ years of related project/program management experience, product development, and/or project/product management. Has adequate understanding of key elements of product development process. Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline PMP Certification is desirable. Experience in Six Sigma disciplines especially problem solving techniques is strongly desired Proven track record of excellent project management skills demonstrated for challenging client, complex interrelated or technically oriented projects Excellent consultative, listening, communications and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers Critical thinker with excellent judgment and strong initiative Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment is crucial Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources Strong written and oral communication skills Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Familiarity with project management software is required Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
