Job Summary
The Global Head of Talent Acquisition & Planning (TA & WFP) is responsible for the strategy and operations of Swissportâs talent acquisition lifecycle. This position will have a global scope and will be responsible for the continued evolution of Swissportâs recruiting process, use of talent acquisition tools and methods, and management of the articulation and effectiveness of Swissportâs employer brand. The position will be able to craft effective strategies while also being responsible for the execution of TA processes globally. The position should possess strong business knowledge, project management experience, exhibit strong communication skills, understand the nuances of recruiting across traditional and digital channels, and have strong leadership skills to efficiently and cost-effectively assure a workforce that will support Swissportâs future growth objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyse current and future talent acquisition needs, develop plan to build the companyâs talent acquisition function, including the determination of best model to use (what combination of in-source/ outsource, etc.) for a comprehensive hiring and recruitment brand strategy.
- Manage a workforce planning process that projects the future skill requirements for the company; bring market knowledge to bear on competitive external talent trends.
- In close partnership with HR leaders, identify critical talent gaps and develop and execute effective recruiting strategies for attracting talent across the enterprise, as well as specialized programs for each line of business, champion the building of talent pipelines and communities for highly critical functional areas and diverse talent pools.
- Evaluate and optimize recruitment programs, systems, processes, tools, and metrics to inform / improve service delivery, reporting and sound hiring decisions; keep up to date on external trends and developments in the recruiting and talent industry and champion adoption and implementation of innovative and cutting-edge processes and tools.
- Provide input to the development and deployment of a compelling employment brand through multiple channels, including the strategic use of social media. Develop initiatives leveraging digital marketing to deliver a superior talent acquisition brand.
- Leverage the Talent Acquisition team's combined experience, industry and business-line knowledge to cultivate and grow recruiters into subject-matter experts of both internal businesses and the competitive marketplace.
- Improve retention and the employee experience, influence collaboration across the talent stakeholder group, and build more visibility into internal talent pools, to enhance Swissportâs brand internally and externally.
- Provide leadership for the evolution of talent acquisition technology, recruiting approaches, hiring tools, and partnership with HR and business functions.
- Evaluate, select, and manage recruitment agencies and retained/contingency search firms. Assess and measure effectiveness and ensure compliance with negotiated agreements.
- Direct recruiting initiatives including integration of assessment tools, employment branding, employee referral program, interview skills training, etc.
- Provide leadership for campus talent acquisition efforts to provide a funnel of talent for intern, apprentice and entry-level roles and provide leadership for similar efforts on a global scale.
- Develop global talent acquisition metrics with the ability to generate and analyse metrics and hard and soft data to regularly inform management. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations and data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Stay current and informed on industry best practices including new and innovative talent acquisition strategies, systems, and technologies; makes recommendations and drives continuous improvement in global talent acquisition practices.
- Design a robust onboarding experience for new hires introduces company values, structure people and processes to help drive speed to productivity, and increased engagement/retention
Required Experiences and Skills:
- 10+ years of previous HR experience, with 5 years minimum of Talent Acquisition COE/Recruiting Management and Leadership experience.
- Experience in aviation, transportation, operations, manufacturing, or service industry
- Track record of developing effective strategies to recruit and hire employees through effective sourcing and evaluation processes. Ability to design and manage processes with appropriate degrees of consistency for a global business.
- A flexible leader who can operate at a highly strategic level to design HR solutions for the future, while also managing day-to-day matters.
- Ability to effectively build networks and relationships in a global business.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personality types at all levels of the organization.
