Overview of role:
Are you someone who loves HR systems and can be agile between planning and supporting day to day operations? Then this might be the job for you!
WestJet is seeking a Permanent full-time Program Manager, People Systems to join our People Systems team. This individual will play a critical role in problem identification, process review and requirements of new and day-to-day HR activities. This person will be responsible for our systems functions and planning, as well as supporting our People and Culture stakeholders with system processes and uses with the support of our People System’s team members.
Key deliverables include:
- Act as a business liaison for the P&C functional groups to support critical priorities from concept to system execution including support of requirements, system configuration and process change management.
- Supporting business stakeholders with general inquiries, projects, and request for change initiatives, in collaboration with the Business Analyst, to ensure the defining the problem statement, process documentation, requirement definition, configuration documentation and fit gap reviews
- Complete and create audits for critical system processes to ensure we are following best practice and IT audits
- Work with IT on the IT change management process
- Facilitating lessons learned for all projects and complex request for changes initiatives
- Work with our critical partners to build RACI’s and assess system impacts based on ongoing company initiatives and process changes
- In collaboration with IT, ensure proper risk management and mitigation strategies are reviewed and in place for our people systems
- Act as a liaison with critical stakeholder groups (IT, People & Culture team members, Organizational Change Management, and PMO)
- Act as a back-up for team members on system configurations and annual process support
- Provide ongoing reporting on current state initiatives and pipeline activities
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years’ experience as a senior advisor in HR or supporting HR Systems
- Project and Program Management skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Go getter with the ability to be agile and adaptable to change
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Team player who works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded
- Demonstrates sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions and stakeholder groups
- Strong understanding of HR processes and Systems including the ability to dip into configuration
- Success Factors, JDE and SQL experience are considered a strong asset
