O verview of role:

WestJet is seeking a Permanent full-time Business Analyst, People Systems to join our People Systems team. This individual will play a critical role in our people system documentation, requirements gathering and process documentation. This person will be working with both business stakeholders as well as our team of analysts and specialists to understand upstream and downstream impacts, critical requirements, and process for all our HR processes requiring configuration in our systems.
Key deliverables include:
- Act as a conduit between our people configuring the systems and the business stakeholders to help analyze the problem statement, scope, requirements, process, and critical impacts
- Supporting the Program Manager and critical team members in documentation of configurations and processes
- Take high level requests and dig deeper, translating them into functional specifications
- Working with the Program Manager, identify areas for process improvement, including support of implementation
- Assist team members and stakeholders in the creation of business practices and procedures
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years’ experience as a business analyst
- 2-5 years’ experience in HR or HR systems
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Go getter with the ability to be agile and adaptable to change
- Demonstrated abilities in conceptual and analytical thinking, problem solving, facilitation and requirement gathering
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrates sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
- Success Factors, JDE and SQL experience are considered a strong asset
- Lean expertise and practices are considered a strong asset
