Role Summary
The CHC Global Network Security engineer To architect platforms and design global enterprise solutions that adhere to information security requirements while meeting business needs to establish secure network connectivity leveraging varying content inspection systems for malware prevention, data loss prevention, and forensic analysis.

- Plan, engineer, and monitor the security infrastructure for the protection of the network systems working closely with Managed Security Services Partner (MSSP)
- Architect and Design future state secure network infrastructure
- Identify, monitor, and define the requirements of the overall security of CHC’s systems
- Testing and checking the system for vulnerabilities in software and hardware
- Configure and install security infrastructure devices
- Assist with Investigating intrusion and hacking incidents, collecting incident responses, and carrying out forensic investigations.
- Determining latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the system, especially at the network layer
- Use industry-standard analysis criteria to test the security maturity level of CHC
- Leverage existing vulnerability management technologies to track and report on system vulnerabilities.
- Oversee the configuration and installation of new software and hardware across multiple global regions
Required Skills
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
Mid to senior level expertise in one of the following (in order of desirability):
- MUST have extensive knowledge on fundamental networking concepts of DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Load balancing, IPS, and basic routing/switching as well as excellent understanding of TCP/IP and packet analysis
- F5, Citrix Netscalar or similar working knowledge (WAP, WAF, APM)
- Cisco Switch (or similar) architecture, design, implementation and administration
- Design, install, maintain and oversee technologies required for WAN, LAN, VLAN, WiFI, and VPN
- Enhance and manage the security level of all data networks within CHC
- Palo Alto Networks and management (Prisma)
- Network Segmentation and VLAN Design and Maintenance
- VMWare NSX Defender as a consideration for Micro-segmentation or similar technology
- Expertise in malware prevention and data loss prevention systems, including Day Zero threat prevention
- Expertise in creating Application and Network diagrams including all pertinent flows and decisions.
- Capability to summarize complex issues into executive summaries
- Basic understanding of Cryptography, SSL certificates, SSL decryption / offload methodologies,
Desired Skills:- Expertise in Virtualization, ESXi server management, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, vMotion to transform hardware based infrastructure to virtual platforms
- Programming expertise; scripting/automation of various security products (e.g. Powershell)
- Basic Understanding of Machine learning, data modeling and perform advanced analytics
- Expertise in Linux, Python, Apache, HTML + Bootstrap, and SQL.
- Leveraging APIs to enhance automation routines.
- 10+ years of overall networking experience
- Familiarity with the following tools and/or platforms helpful:
- Network Monitoring tools such as: OP5, Solarwinds, Netwrix, or similar
- VPN such as Global Protect (Palo Alto Networks)
- Citrix skills a plus (e.g. Citrix Cloud)
- SIEM technologies such as Splunk, SOAR such as Demisto
