Role Overview:We have an exciting opportunity within the HR team in Airbus as the UK immigration administrator. Airbus is a global employer with strong European roots. The role of the UK immigration administrator is to ensure:• The initial and continuing right to work of all non-EEA nationals both prospective employees (Experienced Hires and Early Careers) and current sponsored employees• Airbus compliance with Home Office legislation, preventing illegal working
Responsibilities:Internal interfaces:• Analyse, evaluate, and communicate Home Office proposed changes to immigration to the business and advise how this will affect current and future non-EEA nationals• Provide support, advice, and guidance to:- HR Managers, HR Business Partners, Early Career Managers, Line Managers, Employees- Current sponsored workers throughout their employment (e.g. changes in role, secondments, dependents, visa renewal, settlement applications, personal queries)- Prospective new starters regarding the immigration application process and assistance offered in support of their visa application• Work closely with the Global Mobility team regarding newcomers to the UK and provide ongoing updates regarding the immigration process of the visa application• Manage reporting and tracking of non-EEA national visas• Ensure the Right to Work of sponsored workers at all times throughout employment, revising and implementing policy to protect Airbus from employing illegal workers
External interfaces:• Manage external operational interface with the Home Office on behalf of Airbus to ensure immigration regulation compliance• Manage interface with our third-party immigration partner• Gather information to be shared with industry bodies Critical project• Support the immigration coordinator to lead communications to the UK HR Leadership team, HR Business Partners, and other business stakeholders on key immigration requirements and changes
Skill Set:Essential:• You have experience in an administration within a large business• You can step into the shoes of the people you interact with and understand what they need• You are friendly and approachable• You are proactive and organised• You don’t need experience in immigration, but you will need a willingness to learn
