Job Title Associate Software Engineer About The Business Area/Department: Passenger Processing Systems are at the heart of Airport IT, critical for airports providing a seamless customer experience to the passengers while they are passing through Check-in and Boarding areas to on board the flight to their destination. Amadeus integrates various Airline DCS (Departure Control System) systems on ACUS (Airport Cloud Use Service) platform and allow the airline agents to use their systems on demand in a common use environment at an airport when they need it. Summary of the role: Are you the next Software Engineer we are looking for? You will integrate airline Departure Control Systems into ACUS, as well as research, design, and development of software components for Amadeus Cloud Use Service. You will work on future engagements that may include development tasks for the Amadeus Biometrics Integrator - a cloud-native integration platform between airlines, airports, biometric providers, and any source of passenger data and/or Amadeus Smart Message - a cloud-native baggage source message distribution system. In this role you’ll: Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting of software products. Designs and implements interfaces and middleware software for the integration of Amadeus Airport IT products into the airport/aviation industry and operating environments. Diagnoses and resolves software problems. Co-ordinate’s installation of software systems with other engineering teams Review software scripts and look for ways to improve automation and resolve user interface issues. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. About the ideal candidate: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from four-year college or university. 1 to 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of airport and airline operations. Knowledge of IATA CUPPS and ITPS (AEA) standard, as well as Airline DCS communication with peripheral devices. Java, C, C++, C# experience TCP/IP Communication MS Azure knowledge RDBMS experience (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) MS Windows (Client/Server) PowerShell scripting is a plus AWS knowledge is a plus Citrix knowledge is a plus Agile methodology of software development Knowledge of IATA CUPPS (formerly CUTE) standard Knowledge of IATA ITPS standard (formerly AEA) Knowledge of aviation industry devices (e.g., boarding pass printers, bag tag printers, boarding gate readers etc.) Experience with Serial Communications Willingness to travel domestic and abroad.
