As the Airport Manager - Apia, you will be responsible for the airportâs leadership, management, operational and customer service delivery. You will have direct accountability for the airportâs âaboveâ and âbelowâ the wing airport operations, customer service, safety, revenue, regulatory, people and airport KPI metrics (e.g. on time performance). The role is responsible for the day to day airport operations ensuring a safe operational environment that drives continuous customer service and business improvement. Youâll have â Operational and managerial experience within airport operations. Understanding of, experience in and a desire to support change management processes on a local level. Knowledge of dispute resolution procedures. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Proven ability to communicate & negotiate effectively with all levels of government, service providers, managers and staff. Knowledge of the local equivalent Aviation Security Act. Superior writing skills in grammatical English, technical expressions and terminology required for preparation of operational and technical documentation. Fluent in English and Samoan. Sound analytical aptitude, problem solving skills and data management. High level of computer literacy. Ability to develop and implement tactical plans. Ability to work within a complex and dynamic operational environment.
