POSITION OVERVIEW:
With limited oversight, lead and support facility, equipment, and field workforce capacity planning over short-, mid-, and long-term planning horizons to provide the most effective strategic solution(s) in terms of cost and service.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Support strategic planning of FedEx Freight's capacity efforts across facilities, equipment, and field workforce.
2. Apply engineering principles, analytical expertise and critical thinking to lead and facilitate monthly capacity planning review processes, to include lease dispositions, to drive efficient use of facility, equipment, and field workforce to deliver service to our customer
3. Support cross functional efforts with Operations, Fleet Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure optimization and robust evaluation of the facilities network
4. Collaborate with internal and cross Opco partners, provide direction, and assist team in support of strategic efforts to Enable the Enterprise
5. Collaborate with Engineering, Transportation, Operations, Finance, Facilities, and other key management teams and manage projects to ensure deadlines are met on all department, cross functional & cross opco efforts
6. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
7. Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Transportation, Business or related field or equivalent work experience plus two (2) years professional experience in Transportation, Operations or applied engineering concepts and technology
• Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage projects, prioritize workload, plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals and respond to day-to-day functional needs
• Experienced with Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical skills with the ability to review data, define issues and identify solutions
• Ability to anticipate and identify problems and develop effective and efficient solutions
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Must be able to travel
