Job Title:  Interior Mechanic - IAH

Job Location:  Houston, TX

The Interior Mechanic is responsible to his / her immediate supervisor for the accomplishment of all work assigned in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the company, applicable government agencies, etc. 


Job Duties:

  • Works under the direction of the Shift Lead or Supervisor with oversight from a designated Certified A&P Technician.
  • Maintains aircraft (non-critical system) Cabin Pax appearance and accommodation items with the use of air carrier-provided Maintenance Manuals. To include:

                    Aircraft Seats.

                    Aircraft Cabin Lighting and information signs.

                    Aircraft Entertainment Systems.

                    Cabin trim, flooring, sidewalls, window shades, privacy curtains, and crew rest accommodations.

                    Lavatories and sub-components, i.e., doors, faucets, toilets, cabinets, galleys, and sub-components, i.e., ovens, coffee

                    makers, faucets, water filters, water boilers, and trash receptacles.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Managers. 
  • Will perform all work assigned to him in accordance with approved company maintenance procedures, recording the work performed, and assuming responsibility for that work. 
  • Will report immediately to his supervisor any un-airworthy conditions discovered in the performance of his duties. 
  • Will perform all work assigned to him/her in a safe manner and will report immediately to his/her supervisor any unsafe conditions discovered. 
  • Maintain work area, tooling, equipment, and vehicles in a clean manner, ensuring safe working conditions. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Able to support flexible work hours. 
  • Travels for work as required. 
  • Must be fluent in speaking, and able to read and write the English language.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in mechanical applications and the use of common tools. 
  • Must have knowledge and experience with the principles of electricity and electronic circuits.
  • Able to pass airport security background checks.
  • Frequently required to stand.
  • Frequently required to walk.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel.

Preferred Skills:

  • A passport is not required but is recommended.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
