Role Purpose
The HR Advisor will support the HR Manager and wider HR team in the delivery of an effective, efficient and proactive HR support and advisory service to departments within the central business function by being the first line of contact on all people related issues consistent with internal processes and legal requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- Being the first line of contact for all HR related queries, helping to prevent and resolve problems and disputes, providing advice and guidance to managers to enable them to establish trust-based relationships with their team, escalating to the HR Manager where required.
- Advising, coaching and mentoring managers in your businesses area on all HR practice, policies and procedures.
- Support the HR Manager with investigations, disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes, as well as managing maternity, paternity and family leave, long term and short-term absences and flexible working requests and fixed term contracts.
- Welcome new starters with a best-in-class induction and onboarding journey.
- Fostering a professional and ‘internal customer' approach to HR, focussed on delivering high satisfaction.
- Actively encourage employee engagement through our wellbeing initiatives and employee forum.
- Work with the HR Manager and designated central functional staff to implement our people plans.
- Support the embedding of global initiatives and policies in the central function.
- Work with the HR Manager to lead on specific operational HR projects and support the implementation of strategic HR projects across each year, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement as the business grows and develops.
- Assess the need for HR training and work with the HR Manager and L&D to address this through training and resources as required.

- Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
- Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
- Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
- Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.
Qualifications And Experience
- Experienced and commercially focussed HR generalist, CIPD Level 5 qualified (or currently working or willing to work towards).
- Good, practical knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Mental Health First Aider, or willing to attain.
- A strong mind-set for continuous development and improvement.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to think ahead and balance and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.
- Results orientated, high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- A thorough and proactive approach with the ability to deal with matters in an efficient methodical process.
- Approachable and influential with strong communication skills (verbally and in writing)
- Prior experience of HR in a fast-paced environment such as aviation, logistics or other service-related B2B environments would be advantageous.
- Adaptable to change, flexible and comfortable working in an at-pace, ever-changing environment.
