About our Apprenticeship

Accommodation local to Cirencester will be provided during the classroom phase of training.

The Apprenticeship programme combines theoretical and practical learning, both off-the-job and on-the-job and successful apprentices will work towards a European Aviation Safety Agency approved qualification, as well as level 2 technical certificates and a level 3 National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Aeronautical Engineering.

The academic component of the theory and accompanying examinations the apprentices will go through are the EASA Modules in Mathematics; Physics; Electrical Fundamentals; Digital Techniques; Materials & Hardware; Maintenance Practices; Basic aerodynamics; Human Factors – continuation; Air legislation; Helicopter’s aerodynamics, structures & systems; Gas Turbines. This allows individuals to gain the knowledge underpinning the skills required for the discipline. The skills developed will be in line with mandatory requirements as well as those specific to CHC.

Apprentices will be supported by Resource Group throughout the programme as well as having a dedicated line manager and mentor from one of our bases. We have many employees in the business that have commenced their career via an Apprenticeship providing this new cohort a solid support network.
