Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire an Assembler on 1st shift in Lynnwood, WA . Job Summary: To perform highly-specialized assignments in complex assembly and processing operations. Position requires extensive troubleshooting, analyzing, innovating, adapting and resolving of difficult and unusual problems in a proficient and timely manner and to meet all specifications. Apply extensive knowledge and skill in the assembly and processing field. Responsibilities: Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports in order to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions. Position, align, and adjust pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly, including the use of jigs, fixtures, and other aids. Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures; and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering and micro-welding equipment using tools such as hand or power tools as soldering irons, solder suckers, wire strippers, high voltage soldering irons, resistance (module) welders, bench spot welders, nut drivers, torque wrenches, drill presses, sanders, and microscope. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for resistance factors and for operation; and record results. Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, including iridite touch-up, solvents, degreasers, and abrasives. Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems. Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers. Minimum Requirements: Experience : 5+ years of electronic equipment assembly experience. Knowledge : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Skills : Active Listening; Monitoring (assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action); Operation Monitoring (watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly); Operation and Control (controlling operations of equipment or systems) Ability : Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams. Ability to perceive and pre-determine sequence of operations and installation requirements from sketches and oral instructions. Ability to understand oral and written instructions pertaining to work related matters, and to maintain routine records. Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required. Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity. Adept hand-eye coordination and arm-hand steadiness. Eligibility Requirement : This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
