ResponsibilitiesYou will act as a subject matter expert for various features and modules of the product and contribute testing efforts for assigned software development and maintenance projects within the organization as part of a defined software development lifecycle. As the Senior QA, you will perform leadership activities in the following areas: QA Best Practices, Test Automation, Analytics, and Reporting. You will understand business needs, interpret business needs into viable test plans/test strategies to deliver solutions that satisfy users and business partners. The environment includes frequent changes in tasks and direction, requiring this individual to be able to focus concurrently on multiple, high-priority, and high-visibility deliverables and issues simultaneously.
- Gain a working understanding of all Automation Tools utilized by Spirit.
- Possess the skill set to develop using but not limited to Java, Selenium, Appium, Dockers, TestNG, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
- Gain a working understanding of the Automation Framework leveraged by Spirit.
- Develop Test Scripts that are robust, standalone scripts and can support change with minimal impact.
- Maintain and Review Scripts across Browsers to stay current and executable.
- Review Project Requirements to gain an understanding of New Features.
- Participate in Brainstorming Meetings.
- Identify and Create Test Case Scenarios following QA Best Practices.
- Review Test Cases Execution assigned by you and provide feedback.
- Review and Escalate Incidents (defects) and ensure they are properly and effectively documented so that they can be followed.
- Participate in daily standups and report your testing efforts/ findings.
- Ensure to escalate any Roadblocks preventing you from completing tasks on time.
- Review daily Status Report Daily on the work completed and provide feedback to junior team members.
- Participate in Deployment and Post Deployment Activities.
- Participate in Retrospective Sessions and provide feedback.
- Work in collaboration with development teams to ensure automation standards are being implemented to support automation efforts.
- Work in collaboration with Manual Testing Leads, Dev, and PMO to provide Level of Efforts on impacted Automation Test Cases.
- Support Automation request by the manual and production support teams.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science).
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Experienced building E2E Regression/ Integration tests with Test Automation tools such as Selenium.
- Hands-on Dev Ops – CI/CD pipeline utilization for deployment and execution of automation scripts.
- Hands-on experience leveraging automation scripts to speed up deployments to productions, where the scripts are triggered after the code commits/build is complete.
- A strong command of Java, TestNG, Selenium, and/or Appium for building unit and automation tests.
- Must be able to create high quality, maintainable, and performant code.
- Minimum 4 years of Experience in Software Development / Testing.
- Experienced in Scrum and Agile Methodologies.
- Understanding of core Internet technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with White Box testing in a Web environment is highly desired.
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
