The role has overall responsibility of all operational activities in the workshop and oversee all section leads and technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Manage to meet and exceed KPIs including Quality, TAT, OTD, Budget and P&L.
Planning and Control
- Plans and schedules production activities.
- Schedule WIP jobs and monitor job progress to ensure on time delivery of committed TAT.
- Coordinates and drive other departments and stakeholder including customer requirements and material support to ensure smooth production.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Review the proficiency matrix for each individual and plan for trainings accordingly.
- Devise succession plan for critical personnel to meet forecasted demand and surge.
- Set a high level of discipline and commitment for the section leads and technicians
- Ensure the Plant Equipment are maintained and TME calibrated timely.
- Responsible for safe workplace and compliance with EHS requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify suitable CI projects to improve Safety, Quality, and/or Process workflow.
- Coordinate with other Operation Managers in collective efforts to improve costs, quality and TAT.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years related Aviation experience of which 4 years in managerial capacity for Asst role.
- Minimum 10 years related Aviation experience of which 5 years in managerial capacity.
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- Experience in component repair & overhaul preferred.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work well in a team and lead independent initiatives as required.
- Continuous Improvement knowledge and experience will be an advantage.
