Position Summary
Parker has an opportunity for an Engineering student seeking Summer Internship at its Hydraulic Pump and Power Systems Division in Otsego, Michigan. This student will be working with the Quality Team to assist with our Machining & Assembly Operations Performance.
Responsibilities
- Review and update assembly work instructions by partnering with Supervisors, Engineers & Operators.
- Review machining cell processes to improve inspection work instructions and gaging solutions.
- Identify and catalog Quality Management Systems documents for the facility
- Prepare Quality Alerts for distribution
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering degree, specifically in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Minimum Sophomore classification required
- Knowledge of statistics, lean & quality preferred
- Technical writing skills preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision and instructions regarding the scope of assignments, determine priority and order of assignments
