We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our interdisciplinary field of Ground Support Systems. We are an international Team within the Platform Operational Support domain. We are responsible for developing and maintaining modern ground support systems for the Tornado, A400M and Eurofighter platforms at the Manching site in Germany. Our products enable the operation, development and evaluation of mission data of aircraft in the context of electronic warfare, self-protection and sensor data fusion. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following tasks: Analysis of avionics system design/requirements and operational requirements Definition and adaptation of design requirements to mission data generation and validation environment, incl. workflow definition Produce technical design descriptions for the software of mission support system. To identify and resolve system integration, verification and qualification issues Produce project technical documentation, including: requirements specification, design document, interfaces specification and acceptance tests Preparation and performance of end-user trainings. Support to and participate in customer meetings and workshops Foster collaboration within our project team and with involved stakeholders - internal and external Actively support the continuous improvement of our products, projects and processes The successful applicant will bring: University degree in a technical domain, e.g. aeronautical engineer, computer science, electronic engineer or equivalent Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and experience in all phases of it Experience in airborne defensive aids avionics is an advantage Interest in electronic warfare support is desirable Experience in agile methods like Scrum would be a plus Use of standard office tools, Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence) and knowledge of engineering tools such as DOORS preferable. Good command of English, and German is an advantage Team-oriented individual, independent working method and high quality awareness This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
