Position Summary
Supervises, trains and evaluates and schedules vacation and ensures proper shift coverage for Material Support Agents. Manages check requests, cash disbursements and the Imprest fund. Coordinates transport of local, domestic, and international shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform all lower level duties as well as act in a supervisory capacity. Test required to qualify and recurrent qualification testing every two years
- Supervises, trains and evaluates and schedules vacation and ensures proper shift coverage for Material Support Agents
- Manages check requests, cash disbursements and the Imprest fund
- Coordinates transport of local, domestic, and international shipments
- Interfaces with various department regarding Material issues
- Processes periodic inventory reports
- As needed, performs lower level functions
- Distributes Company material and mail
- Picks up and delivers AOG shipments
- Handles hazardous material shipments
- Handles vendor pickups and deliveries with payments
- Posts and processes U.S. mail
- Processes shipments with ground handlers, courier services and freight companies
- Issues, credits, receives and inspects material
- Stores material with proper packaging and labeling
- Prepared outgoing shipments with domestic and international documents
- Maintains logs for various tracked items
- Performs monthly shelf life checks and physical inventory
- Reconciles non-owned parts and consignments per agreements in place
- Maintains and assembles engineering order (EO) kits
- Ensures hazardous material and electrostatic discharge sensitive (ESDS) compliance for shipping, receiving and storage
- Processes and transmits digital images
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs., become certified to operate a forklift and obtain a ramp license
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems/tooling/general maintenance manuals
- Thorough knowledge of Supply/Inventory Control
- Good knowledge of Purchasing/Accounting/Catering/Cargo
- Good knowledge of US Customs procedures
- Good knowledge of US and International Regulatory procedures
- Ability to type 30 wpm and successfully pass a typing test as part of the interview process
- Ability to learn specialized computer software and intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel to complete reports
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading, training and coaching a team
- Ability to successfully complete recurrent qualification testing every two years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with internal and external customers
- Ability to fulfill comprehensive background checks and fingerprinting to satisfy company security requirements and obtain various clearances to work at the airport (SIDA, Customs, USPS as applicable)
