Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate / Cyber System Engineer. This position will be located in Orlando, FL and will support our Ground Satellite Communications Systems (GSCS) Operating Unit (OU).
Roles And Responsibilities
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications: Level 1
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Basic knowledge of cyber security best practices
- Willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hiring
- Ability to pass an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) background check for High-Risk Services contract
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Basic Qualifications: Level 2
- Bachelors Degree with 2 years' experience or 6 years' experience in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated experience of Risk Management Framework (RMF) (NIST SP 800-37), and NIST SP 800-53 security controls, and similar IT security processes
- Basic knowledge of security automation and continuous monitoring
- Willing to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 6 months of hiring
- Ability to pass an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) background check for High-Risk Services contract
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security Certification (CompTIA Security+, CAP, ISC2 CISSP or similar cyber security related certification)
- Industry Certification (Microsoft MCP, CCNA, Linux+ or similar)
- B.S in Cyber Security or related computer degree program
- Demonstrated experience in securing PKI, Unix/Linux and Windows environments
- Demonstrated experience in network security, monitoring and reporting
- Experience with STIG assessment, HBSS, SCAP, NESSUS, SPLUNK, or similar cyber security tools
Demonstrated knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK® framework
Salary Range: $80,800 USD - $121,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
