The role of the 3L Onsite Engineer will be to provide support for the system maintenance, monitoring activity, the account management of system(s) and components of the platform. You will be required to provide an agreed level of support to the On Site Domain Admin role in their absence. It will also be your responsibility to ensure the SOC MRO Team in Newport can cover the OSE Engineer (yourself) in your absence. This role is varied with no one day looking the same which means you get to utilize all your skills and if there are any areas you feel you need more training in, Airbus can provide support for this You will also have the opportunity to work on a high profile, exclusive MoD project which Airbus has secured! This role is based around Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm so no shift work and the on-call rota is 1-4 so you get weekends to yourself as well! HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM Support SOC Engineers & Analyst activity. Supports change & release management activity. Ensure scheduled maintenance and patching is approved & delivered within KPI/SLA’s. Produce reports covering SLA Performance, System Performance, Obsolescence, Risk & System availability. System Maintenance, including remote (standalone) platforms. Support the authority with scheduled patching activity, limited to advice and guidance. Liaising with Newport MRO to provide support for daily checks and health status of systems. Monitoring of audit and security logs for breaches and malware across all Zones available. System backups/Restore of the SOC Tooling. Deploy approved patches/software fixes and policy updates. ABOUT YOU The role requires an experienced Cyber Engineer with a strong networking background and ideally have worked on MoD contracts before We are open to what industries you have previously worked in, however you must be comfortable with working autonomously and be self motivated Splunk knowledge/experience would be highly advantageous Experience carrying out scheduled maintenance and patching to approved deadlines Previous SOC systems maintenance experience HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time.
