Manager, Procurement (Shared Services Centre)
Job Scope:
To lead a team of Buyers within Procurement Shared Services Centre (SSC) to support Operations’ needs within the ST Engineering Group. Drive continuous improvement programs to enable an efficient and effective procure-to-pay process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage SSC service delivery to support demand requirements by Operations under the Procure-to-Pay process which includes sourcing, competitive bid analysis, contract management and Purchase Orders’ management
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and implement action plans to address gaps
- Ensure compliance to Procurement policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities and drive improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Engage with Stakeholders both internally and externally on escalations and issue resolution
- Develop and maintain business process procedures and documentation including training materials
- Coach, mentor and develop team members for performance
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Business or Engineering from a well-recognised Educational Institution.
- At least five (5) years of experience in Procurement
- At least two (2) years of managerial experience in a Shared Services or high-volume transaction environment
- Strong knowledge of Procurement business processes and systems such as SAP and P2P systems/solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication & planning skills
- Organized, possess a sense of urgency and have the ability to be flexible and work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Able to work independently or with a cross functional team
