Description:Flight Controls Hardware Engineering Manager - Level 5

Position will develop and execute strategies for workforce development, collaboration, and technical performance for roughly 20 person engineering flight control system hardware organization. Additional responsibilities include personnel evaluations, program staffing, and career development.
Managerial responsibilities are expected to take ~50% of candidates time. Remainder of time will be spent on direct support of flight control hardware development programs.
Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
--Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science required
--Technical experience in aviation flight control hardware theory and practice
--Experience leading teams
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree in engineering discipline is preferred.
- Experience as a functional manager with responsibility for personnel task assignments, approval of products, career development, and performance evaluations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are preferred.
- Experience with design, development and testing of flight control hardware systems for air vehicles
-Experience in air vehicle and systems conceptual design
-Experience in air vehicle and systems conceptual development
-Experience working on proposals and estimating labor and schedules.
-Experience with analysis tools such as Matlab and/or Labview.
