The Opportunity
Firmly on our people agenda is a drive to support the business to have the right talent in the right place at the right time. And we want our talented teams to be as engaged as possible. Hence this brand-new post! This is not a traditional L&D Manager post, although a background in L&D will be hugely beneficial. Reporting to the Talent Director for our Civil business (which manufactures parts for passenger planes), our new Talent & Engagement Manager will partner with our onsite teams to ensure they are actively assessing the talent they have in their teams and to help them pinpoint ways to fill gaps, raise aspirations and forward plan for succession. You can use your prior experience and creativity here to suggest better ways of harnessing and encouraging talent, working with our global Centre of Excellence, who can provide a high level of training material. Equally, using our current Engagement and 'pulse' surveys, you will be able to work out where we can be better at keeping people motivated and engaged. In short, you'll be someone who has experience in partnering a business from a Talent perspective. You'll be passionate about allowing people to flourish and about facing down barriers and working with the business to build successful teams full of talented, engaged people.
