ResponsibilitiesThe Learning Specialist is focused on the flawless execution of Learning & Development programs at Spirit Airlines. This role will work cross-functionally with other departments, HR Centers of Expertise (COE), and other key stakeholders as needed on training and development projects, training rollouts, new hire orientation, and compliance training. You will play an integral role in supporting and contributing to our culture of growth and learning in the organization.
- Support the annual compliance training rollout, including collaborating with the LMS team and department COEs to assess and deliver compliance training assignments, communication, reporting, and completion tracking.
- Support new hire orientation delivery with planning, scheduling and logistics management of recurring informational sessions for new Team Members.
- Ensure smooth execution of day-to-day operations and logistics of Spirit’s learning management system – Spirit U, including maintenance of accurate user account data, audit user data for accuracy and proactively correct errors troubleshooting and escalation to LMS team, access provisioning, roster management, course completion records.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR Business Partners and COE’s to assess and manage training requests, planning and execution of training events, Town Halls, and conferences.
- Partner with the Talent team to create and execute communication plans for learners, instructors, and leadership to support various training initiatives, monthly learning spotlight newsletter, and post announcements on the internal SharePoint site.
- Encourage buy-in and promote various courses, campaigns, and Team Member use of training and development plans.
- Support the evaluation of training resources and delivery of training programs across the organization by gathering feedback (surveys, emails, etc.) and manage data points to identify potential areas of improvement and share results with leadership.
- Create and maintain project plans, and training calendar that identify milestones, timelines, and resources to ensure project delivery. Provide status reports on a regular and ad-hoc schedule.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related discipline.
- No previous experience required.
- Knowledge and experience applying adult learning principles to design, implement and deliver learning solutions.
- Be technology savvy.
- Demonstrated experience with project and program management preferably in L&D.
- Experience designing content using Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate or related authoring tools.
- Very strong MS Office 365 skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, have strong attention to details with an emphasis on organization and effective time management skills.
- Must be team oriented and have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and time management skills to balance multiple priorities and dynamic workload.
