Role Summary
The Talent Management (TM) System Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and providing day to day maintenance and support for SAP Success Factors (SF) to maximize productivity, quality, and user experience at Alaska Airlines (AS) and Horizon Air (QX). This individual contributor will make recommendations to ensure system implementations, launches, enhancements or other changes are planned for and executed successfully in the business.
Key Duties
Serve as the key member of the TM team in leading or participating in creating, implementing, and maintaining, TM technologies.
Conduct analysis to research and recommend business and system process improvements, innovative solutions, best practices, policy changes, and alternate methods to serve internal customers.
Act a product owner partnering with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, map processes, perform gap analysis, and manage resources to deliver business requirements.
Take initiative to develop creative solutions to utilize SF to solve for complex people problems and strategic talent needs (performance forms, talent profiles, talent pools, mobility, development, succession, etc.).
Evaluate and make recommendations for the functionality of SF and analyze potential impact to current business processes.
Research and apply SAP/SF and industry best practices and talent methodologies to create relevant TM solutions.
With limited direction from leadership work independently to:
Participate and/or lead implementation of additional SF modules.
Maintain and update system configurations.
Improve system processes by exploring and implementing systems configuration options.
Maintain SF production and test environments.
Establish and maintain SF procedure documentation.
Develop and manage security roles and groups for TM and workforce needs.
Coordinate and respond to internal inquiries related to TM processes as well as teach and train others using knowledge of the system’s functionalities.
Create and maintain technical procedures, documentations, and job aids.
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
2 years of experience functionally supporting SAP Success Factors or other HR Talent Management system(s).
Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in computer science, human resources, business administration, or related discipline, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of degree.
Ability to use analytical skills to provide insights and recommendations.
Proven success collaborating to solve complex challenges.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Effective written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and build support for ideas.
Strong organization, workload prioritization and time management skills.
Strong professional curiosity and demonstrated initiative and accountability to drive results.
Demonstrated customer-focused, resourceful, pro-active approach.
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to support business need.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary Range
$61,600 --- $92,400 / year
Salary Details
Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
